Set Up Appliances for Food Safety Compliance

Our food safety module allows you to add and track all your appliance's settings, temperature profiles and service profiles, helping you stay compliant with your region's food safety regulatory body's requirements.

You and your staff can update and monitor the status of each appliance using an iOS or Android tablet with our Kitchen app installed. You can download the Flipdish RMS app on your tablet device from the Google Play or Apple app store.

Please note you will need admin-level access to manage these settings

Instructions:

  1. Log into your Point of Sale Back Office with your email address and password.

  2. Click on the Business name in the drop-down box in the top right corner of the page. This is the Franchise level view.

  3. Select the relevant store from the drop-down

  4. Click "Modules" on the left-hand side of the page.

  5. Click "Food Safety"

  6. Click "Appliances"

  7. Click "Add" in the top right corner

  8. Add the required information in the following boxes

In the "General" tab:

  1. Select the appliance type from the drop-down list.

  2. Name the appliance

  3. Enter the manufacturer of the appliance

  4. Leave the "is disabled" box unticked

In the Temperature profile tab:

  1. Enter the minimum and maximum temperatures to maintain the appliance

  2. Enter the minimum number of temperature logs required for the appliance

  3. Enter the minimum number of temperature logs to auto-correct the appliance's state

  4. Select the Hazard types from the drop-down list

In the Service profile tab:

  1. Click "Add Service Profile" on the right hand side

  2. Enter the name of the service

  3. Select the service type from the drop-down list

  4. Select the frequency of service from the drop-down list

  5. Tick the box if the service is Mandatory

  6. Enter the next service due date

  7. Enter the number of days before the service you wish to be notified

  8. Select the hazard types from the drop-down list

  9. Click "Save" in the bottom right corner of the pop-up box

In the image tab:

  1. Upload an image of your appliance via one of the many options displayed

  2. Click "Save" in the bottom right corner of the pop-up box

To finalise these settings click "Save" in the top right corner.

This appliance will now be visible in your Flipdish RMS Kitchen App.
