Upsells are an easy way for staff and restaurants to increase average order value. A seamless upsell experience through the point-of-sale is important for staff to make recommendations that are valuable to both the guest and the restaurant's margins.

Upsell Flow

At the tail end of checkout, once staff have selected the correct items and modifiers ordered by the guest, staff will receive a prompt on the register to suggest additional items.

Encouraging Upsells

To increase staff engagement, restaurant admins can assign point values to specific items to encourage staff to push upsells. Each item is assigned specific upsell points that staff can collect and cash out for bonuses that are designed by restaurant admins.
