This article explains what are the keywords used in mobile apps, and what keywords we recommend using for your branded Flipdish mobile app.
Keywords basics
Keywords in the mobile app are used for the mobile application stores (Google Play Store and Apple's App Store) to help device owners to find the apps that might be of interest to them. It is part of a wider process called App Store Optimisation (ASO). For example, if one of your keywords contains 'pizza' and the users will be searching for 'pizza' on the app store, there is a higher chance that your app will be positioned higher in the search results.
Based on the rules dictated by Google Play Store and Apple's App Store, we allow for a maximum of 100 characters in the keywords section. Depending on the length of the words you choose, it can be fewer or more words for your mobile app.
Best use of keywords
When you work on your mobile app submission, you will see a suggested list of keywords already added by us. However, you can edit the list of keywords to those that better suiting your brand and offering. The keywords that we found useful to include are:
Cuisine type or your most popular dish, eg. Pizza, Italian, Mexican, Sushi, Kebab, Steak
Location, eg. the city where your store is based
Type of service you offer, eg. delivery, takeaway, collection/pickup
Products characteristics, eg. healthy, vegan, halal
