Flipdish <> Order With Google Integration: Overview

How do I accept or reject orders from Order with Google?

Orders received through Google will appear in your Flipdish Portal, as well as on any Flipdish terminals you use, in the same way as any other online order received directly through Flipdish.

How do payouts work?

You will be paid as per your existing online ordering payout schedule. Your online ordering payouts and fees will also include those orders placed through Order with Google.

How do I update my menu?

Your Google menu will be populated automatically using your Flipdish menu. There is no need to change anything on Google itself, any changes to your menu should be done within Flipdish. This process is not immediate, please allow up to two hours for Google to reflect your changes. Marking an item as unavailable or out of stock is immediate.

What images can I use?

Images will populate automatically from your Flipdish menu. The recommendation (which is not a strict requirement) from Google can be found here. Most importantly: 1. JPG or PNG format 2. Up to 5MB size 3. 720 x 720 pixels 4. “In focus and well lit, no significant alterations or use of filters. In other words, the image should represent reality”

How do I hide an item because it is out of stock or we no longer sell it?

You should aim to keep your menu up to date so that items you no longer provide are removed with at least two hours notice for Google to reflect this. In unplanned situations such as running out of stock, the “hide” option within your menu in the Flipdish Portal can be used to remove items from your Order With Google menu in real-time.

How do I change opening hours or dispatch types?

Changing these in your Flipdish Portal will copy the change to Google. There is no need to change anything in Google directly.

What do I do if a customer has an issue with an order?

Restaurants are responsible for producing the order and ensuring that it reaches the customer, it is therefore the restaurant's responsibility to resolve any issues relating to the content of the order or to the delivery. Flipdish support can be contacted for issues relating to the ordering process, such as orders not being received by the restaurant.

Can I choose to turn off other providers if they're not my preferred choice?
