For Registers with a Customer Facing Screen, a minimum 10” screen size is required to support Signage.
Some POS providers issue “managed” hardware, meaning they control the apps that are available for download. These managed tablets are not compatible as you will be unable to download Flipdish software. Common POS providers of managed hardware are:

Kitchen Display System (KDS)
KDS Screen
KDS Screens are mounted in the kitchen for staff to view and process the orders. These are usually all-in-one machines with touch screens. For KDS following is the minimum specification:

Label Printing
The KDS Screen supports Label printing which goes on packaging and bags.
Flipdish POS is compatible with Brother Label Printers with Bluetooth or USB connectivity.
Kitchen Printer
Instead of a KDS Screen, you may opt for a Kitchen Printer.
Flipdish POS can work with a variety of USB/Wifi/Ethernet-connected printers.
USB Printer, must be connected to an Android or Windows device.
For Compatible Network Printers, require an IP address
For Cloud Printers - support Sunmi only (need the printer to be ‘Gifted' to our account, enabled)
Receipt Printers
Optimized for 80mm Printers (can work with 72mm but not preferred)
Support USB, Bluetooth, Wifi
Brand agnostic (communicate using esc.pos format)

VOIP:
In addition to the USB caller ID, you need to use and configure the Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) like the Grandstream HandyTone HT801 ATA. The ATA needs to be configured with VOIP settings which you need to get from the VOIP provider. At times, the ATA is supplied by the VOIP provider.

Cash Drawers
The cash drawer is connected to the POS via Receipt Printer
The cash drawer must be compatible with Receipt Printer, specifically both require the same voltage

Internet Connection
All stores require a good internet connection as a pre-requisite for the Flipdish POS.
A wired connection is advised in the kitchen for KDS as wifi can be slower in greasy, steamy environments compared to wired connections
