Tags facilitate background automation, streamlining tasks such as applying discounts, generating reports, snoozing or hiding items, and routing orders to your Kitchen Display Screens (KDS).
Snooze tag - can be added to menu items to make it easy for you to snooze or hide that item directly from your Point of sale device if you were to run out of stock.
Reporting tag - allows you to target certain menu items to show on specific reports that you create, allowing reporting for example on quantity sold within a similar group of item.
Kitchen Display System or KDS tag - allows you to route certain items directly to specific stations you may have set up in your kitchen. For example, a 'Fries' station or a 'Drinks' station.
Discount tag - allows you to exclude menu items from being discounted by your staff during the checkout and payment process.
KDS Course tag: Allows you to group items by course on tickets/orders using course tags. Example description is Appetizer, or Main Course.

⚠️Please note you will need to have 'Owner' access in the portal to manage these settings
Instructions:
Step 1 - Log into the Flipdish portal at portal.flipdish.com with your email address and password. (Please note menu editing can't be done through the Point of sale device)
Step 2 - Click on the "Sales Channels" tab, in the left hand side menu.
Step 3 - Select Point of Sale, then click on 'Settings' tab.
Step 4 - Click "Tags". Here you will see all the tags that currently exist.
Step 5 - Click "Add" in the top right corner and select the type of tag you want to add (Snooze, Discount, KDS, Report, or KDS Course Name).
Step 6 - Enter a tag code as your description of the tag.
Step 7 - Click 'Save' in the top right corner to add the tag.
