Create a Menu on Your Flipdish POS

This article will explain how to create a menu on your Point of Sale

Requirements:

You will need access to portal.flipdish.com

Instructions:

Step 1 – Log in to your portal at portal.flipdish.com using your credentials. From the menu bar on the left-hand side, select Menu Editor.

Step 2 – Once you've selected Menu Editor, look to the top right corner of the screen where you'll see the + New Menu option.

Step 3 – After clicking New Menu, you’ll be prompted to enter a name for your new menu. For example, I’ll name it New Menu. and then click on Start Building.

Step 4 – After clicking Start Building, you’ll have the option to add a name for the new category.

Step 5 – Click + New Category and enter the name of the category you wish to add. In this example, I’ll name the category Sushi.

Step 6 – With the category now created, click on + New Item. This will allow you to enter the name and price of the item you wish to add.

Step 7 – After entering the item name and price, click the Add button on the right to create the item. You’ll follow this same process when adding additional categories or items.

When you have finished, complete these final steps:

Step 8 – To publish and attach the menu to the store where it will be used, go to Properties. Locate the property you want to assign the menu to, select it, and then click Save.

Step - 9 Open the property. and click on General settings.
​

Step 10 – Inside General Settings, select the Menu option. Locate the menu you just created by its name. In this example, my menu is called New Menu, so I selected that one.

Step 11 – Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save to apply the changes.

Step 12 – Once the changes are saved, go back to Menu Editor and locate the menu you just created. In this example, I’m selecting New Menu, which is the name I assigned earlier. With the menu open, make sure to click Publish so the menu goes live—otherwise, it will remain in draft status.

Step 13 - Confirm you wish to publish by clicking "Yes" in the pop-up box

Now your menu is live for your staff to use.
