This article will explain how to add images to a menu item on your Flipdish Point of Sale. Adding menu images can help your staff place orders quickly and with less human error.
Requirements: You will need access to portal.flipdish.com and the teammate permission needs to be Store manager or above.
How to add a menu image:
Step 1 - Log into portal.flipdish.com with your email address and password. (Please note menu editing can't be done through the Point of Sale machine)
Step 2 - Click on the Menu Editor On the Left side options. select menu editor. select the menu you wish to edit.
Step 3 - Click on the item you wish to add an image to. Click on the 3-dots then 'Edit'.
Step 4 - Click the image icon. You can choose between uploading an image from your device, adding a web link, or taking a photo with your device's camera, Google drive, Dropbox, Facebook, Instagram, Shutterstock, Getty images, iStock and Unsplash.
Step 5 - Click "Done" once the image has finished uploading.
Step 6 - Click "Apply Changes" in the pop-up box.
Step 7 - Click "Back" and then "publish"
Step 8 - Click "Publish".
Step 9 - Confirm you wish to publish by clicking "Yes" in the pop-up box.
How to change an existing menu item image
To replace an image for a menu item:
Navigate to the Menu Editor section in the Flipdish portal.
Locate the menu item you want to update. Click on the 3-dots on the right side of the item, the select 'Edit'.
Under Basic Info, click again on 'Edit'.
Hover onto the existing image below, and click on the trash icon.
You will now be prompted to Remove Image.
Follow the same instructions above on how to upload a new image.
Save your changes and publish the menu.
⚠️Important: After updating images, a POS reboot is required for the new images to apply correctly.
