This article will explain how to add menu item overrides on your Point of Sale.
Item Overrides allow you to automate the reduction of a menu item's availability, based on which property, dispatch type, marketplace, day of the week, or time of the day.
Requirements:
You will need access to your Portal.flipdish.com
Instructions:
Step 1 - Log into Portal.flipfdish.com Back Office with your email address and password. (Please note menu editing can't be done through the Point of sale device)
Step 2 – In the menu panel on the left-hand side of the screen, locate the “Menu Editor,” then select the menu you want to edit.
Step 3 - Click on the Menu you wish to edit.
Step 4 – Click on the item you wish to apply the override to. In this example, we’ll set automatic availability for the Juice item from Monday to Thursday. For the rest of the week, it will be disabled, meaning it will not be visible or selectable by customers.
Step 5 – With the menu open, select Categories, then choose the section where your item is located. In this example, the section is Drinks and the item is Juice, as shown in the image below.
Step 6 – On the item, locate the three dots on the right-hand side. Click on them, then select Edit.
Step 7 - Click on schedule and then Edit.
Step 8 - Select Custom > + New Schedule.
Step 9 – From here, you can set the schedule name, choose the properties, and select the dispatch types.
Step 10 – In this example, I want the item to be available only from Monday to Thursday. To do this, I tick the days I want it available and untick the days I want it disabled. Then, I click Apply Changes to save the settings.
Step 11 – Go back by clicking the arrow on the left-hand side of the screen.
Step 11 - Now its time to publish our menu, remenber that any change made on the menu needs to be published for the changes to be reflected properly.
Step 12 - Confirm you wish to publish by clicking "Yes" in the pop-up box
