What if a customer doesn't collect their food or answer their phone on delivery?

We know how frustrating it can be to have a customer place an unpaid order and then, once the food is made, they don't come to collect it or they don't answer their door when the delivery driver has arrived.

This is why Flipdish has some verification and preventative measures.

When your customers place an order Flipdish sends a 4 digit verification code to their mobile phone in order to ensure they are who they say they are. This means that any order placed to your business through the Flipdish ordering platform will be accompanied by the customer's phone number.

If the customer doesn't answer their phone and you suspect that they purposely placed the order with no intention of paying, we recommend you only allow that customer to pay by card in the future. To do this, please email us with the customer's number or the order number at [email protected].

If you experience ongoing issues with a particular customer, we can block that user from placing orders from that number. To do this, please email us with the customer's number or the order number at [email protected].

If you would like to prevent the above from ever happening in the first place you can disable cash orders altogether and only accept card orders. To do this, please email us at [email protected]. We recommend this as a last resort as it is best to give your customers the choice of how they wish to pay.
