Updated over 3 months ago

In this article, we explain how you can configure pre-orders for your store and how does it work.

Requirements:

To find pre-order settings, please follow the steps below:

  1. Login to Flipdish Portal.

  2. Click on the Properties option in the navigation bar on the left-hand side.

  3. Select the Store you want to change settings for is located.

  4. Click on the tile with the Store you want to change settings for.

  5. Click on the Preorder settings section.

There are two options in the sub-menu that follows: Pre-order for collection and Pre-order for delivery. While both of these lead to identical option screens, they are wholly independent, allowing for full customization against each service.

In both collection and delivery pre-order settings, you will find the following options, which we explain in detail below:

  • A customer can order for ASAP: This allows the customer to place the order inmediately

  • Always appear open: This show the store is open even the store is closed for preordering purposes

  • Force customer to select collection time: This requires the customer to select a specifc time slot, helping to avoid any potential time selection miskate

  • Lead time: This determines the preparation time and the time is ready to be collected

  • Interval: this refers to the frequency of the orders, as you can see on the example below, 10 minutes intervals will add 10 minutes between each order

Set capacity limits: This helps to set limits for specific times during the day when you are busy or your staff requires more time, so you can adjust the amount of orders you receive

  • Amount of days a customer can order in advance: this gives you the control to set a specific amount of days required to place an order in advance, e.g. 2 days, or there might be scenarios in seasonal sales where you can offer even 30 days in advance

  • Enforce cutoff time: This set a limit for a specific hour during the day when the order will be for today or tomorrow, e.g. enforce cutoff time at 7 PM, this means after this times, the preorders will be only for tomorrow

  • Preorder time display type: this offers the alternative to customize the format for the preorder time.
