Learn how to disable 'Customer notes' or 'Chef/Barista Notes' from the Flipdish portal.
When customers place orders, they can add “Customer Notes” (also referred to as “Chef/Barista Notes”) on the checkout page for special instructions or requests.
If you’d prefer to disable this feature and ensure no custom requests are submitted via ordering, here's how to do it:
Log in to your Flipdish portal.
Navigate to Sales Channels → select the relevant channel (e.g., Kiosk, Online Ordering, etc.).
Go to Order Settings.
Locate the Customer Notes toggle.
Turn the toggle off to disable the field.
Once off, customers will no longer see the “Chef Notes” box at checkout
