Summary
This page covers how to pair a WisePOS E card payment reader to a Kiosk.
Pairing and Connection Info
This card reader is an internet-connected device, rather than a Bluetooth-paired device. It can be connected by wifi or by ethernet cable. A secure wifi network - our card readers must be connected to a password protected wifi network. Open networks are not compatible. Generally, this means it is a very stable and reliable connection type, but of course, this is depending on the stability and quality of the internet connection in the store.

On the device, make sure to connect via wifi or ethernet.

Make sure the Kiosk is powered on and connected to the internet. Make sure the Kiosk is assigned to your store.

Step 5
On this screen, it displays information about the two connection types. You must connect the WisePOS E device to your desired network type.
Both Wifi and Ethernet require reliable and open internet networks with no blocking security or firewall protocols in place. See the requirements above in this article.
If you are connecting via Ethernet, make sure your ethernet cable is connected to the internet-connected router in your store, not the Kiosk.
Press Continue.
Step 6
Unbox your Card Reader and do the following:
Charge it up to a minimum of 50%. You can either plug it into the wall or into a USB connection on the Kiosk.
Connect it to the Wifi / Ethernet connection in your store. Further detailed Instructions here.

Once that finishes, you will see a 'register this reader' screen as shown in the example in the image below on the card reader screen.

On the Kiosk screen, enter the registration code from the card reader into the box below.
Tap on the box to trigger the keyboard.
Once you have entered the code, press the Green Check arrow on the right to confirm and proceed.
Then press 'Connect' to finish pairing the card reader.
Step 8
If the code is accepted, your card reader is now connected to your Kiosk! You will receive the screen below on your Kiosk.
On the Card reader you should see the idle screen below. This means it is paired and ready to accept payments.
You should always see the Visa symbol on the bottom right on the home screen of your Kiosk, which confirms your card reader is active and ready to take payments. See below.
Step 9 - Testing a Card Payment Order
We recommend doing a test order on your Kiosk and Card Reader to ensure everything is working as expected.
Error - Invalid registration code, please try again
