Configure Lead Times on Your Flipdish POS for Online, Phone or In-Store Orders
Updated over 8 months ago

How to set up your lead time configuration in your point-of-sale portal so that can you auto-accept or manually accept all your incoming online, phone or in-store orders and have the most accurate lead times possible with no effort required. This gives your team the flexibility and the right amount of time to prepare the orders accordingly based on settings such as dispatch type, day of the week, time of the day and a few more.

Requirements:

  • You must be using the Flipdish Point-of-Sale to use this feature

  • You must be using Flipdish online ordering and have it integrated into your point-of-sale

Instructions:

  1. Go to your Flipdish point-of-sale portal and log in using your credentials

  3. Navigate to Configurations > Organization > Storefronts and choose the storefront that you want to change. You add timing configurations to your online ordering storefronts and your point-of-sale

  4. Once you have chosen your Storefront, select the Timing Configuration button

  5. Now there are two different parts to this section, on the top of this page you will see Default Prep Time and Default Delivery Time. These are the times the system uses to determine the lead time given to your customers by default. For example, if Default Prep Time = 20 minutes and Default Delivery Time = 20 minutes, then the lead time for a collection and delivery order would be 20 minutes and 40 minutes respectively. But you can also add a Timing Override which lets you create customer lead times depending on lots of different options.

  6. You can choose the lead time you want to set for prep/delivery depending on dispatch type, day of the week, time of day, and order price and you can also choose whether you want to auto-accept or manually accept orders during this override. This gives your team the flexibility to have varying lead times throughout the week without needing to manually accept orders every time.
