This article explains order notifications settings, which define how you will be notified about the new orders. Please note that by default, you will be always notified of new orders placed in your store via Terminal app, whether installed on Terminal device or mobile phone. Setting up additional order notifications works often as a backup strategy in case your Terminal runs out of battery, or you just simply need an additional way of being notified about orders.
Requirements:
Access to Flipdish Portal
User role: Owner, Store Owner, Store Manager
Access Order Notifications
Login to your Flipdish Portal.
Click on the Stores option in the navigation bar on the left-hand side.
If you have multiple Store Groups, select the one where the Store you want to change settings for is located. If you have only one Store Group, you will be already in it.
Click on the tile with the Store you want to change settings for.
Click on the Order notifications option.
On the Order notifications page settings, you can set up additional order notifications either by SMS and/or email.
Set Up SMS notifications
In order to get notified about new orders via SMS, please input the recipient mobile phone number. Please make sure to include the correct country prefix in the phone numbers.
When adding a new SMS notification, you can also decide when you should be notified this way from one of the following options:
Always - you'll receive an SMS each time you get a new order in your store.
If not accepted after 5 minutes - you will receive an SMS about the order if you don't respond to it within 5 minutes from the moment it was placed.
If not accepted after 10 minutes - you will receive an SMS about the order if you don't respond to it within 10 minutes from the moment it was placed.
Once you provide all of the details, press ADD button to add a new phone number. You can add as many phone numbers as you need. You can also add the same phone number multiple times if you want to be notified multiple times using all time-sensitive triggers.
Set Up Email notifications
Email notification is another way to be notified about the new incoming orders. To get notified by email, please provide the correct full email address and select the most relevant option for the time-sensitive trigger as of when do you want to receive the order notification:
Always - you'll receive an SMS each time you get a new order in your store.
If not accepted after 5 minutes - you will receive an email about the order if you don't respond to it within 5 minutes from the moment it was placed.
If not accepted after 10 minutes - you will receive an email about the order if you don't respond to it within 10 minutes from the moment it was placed.
Once you provide all of the details, press ADD button to add the new email address. You can add as many email addresses as you need. You can also add the same email address multiple times if you want to be notified multiple times using all time-sensitive triggers.
Remove order notifications
If you don't need previously added order notifications, you can remove it at any time using the "trash" icon button on a relevant notification. You'll see a popup to confirm you are happy to remove it.
