What is it?
The ability to add a mandatory or optional service charge set by the business and charged to the customer for the service received. You get access to a section in the Flipdish portal to customise your service charge fees and what's offered to your customers.
What are the benefits?
Easily enable/disable service charge on a store, by store level
Set your custom service charge %: for example a 5% or 12% service charge
The ability to set a mandatory or optional service charge
Optional, the customer will be able to remove or re-add it to their bill
Mandatory, the customer won't be able to remove it from the bill
If your service charge is set to mandatory, you will also have the option to not display the processing fee to the customer. The processing fee amount will be deducted from the total service charge cost
You won't need to contact Flipdish Support to do this for you and you can now do this easily in the Flipdish Portal
How does it work?
Step-by-step guide:
Open your Flipdish portal
Go to the 'store section' in the left-hand navigation
Open the store for which you would like to configure service charge
In the sub-navigation, you will (towards the bottom) see "Service Charge"
In the service charge section, you can:
Enable/disable service charge
When disabled, service charge will not show in your product
Set mandatory (always) vs optional service charge
If it's set to always, customers won't be able to remove it from their bill
If it's set to optional, customers will have the option to remove and re-add it from their bill
Set service charge percentage
Hide processing fee
Please note that this functionality is only possible when you have set service charge to 'always'
The processing fee will not be visible to customers and will be deducted from the service charge total amount
What will my customer see?

Optional service charge: ability to remove service charge
Optional service charge: ability to re-add service charge
