Apple Developer Account FAQs & Useful Resources

Updated over 7 months ago

I cannot enrol as a COMPANY/ORGANIZATION, is there any other way?

If you don't have a business DUNS number (see part 5 of this guide) due to the nature of your business, you might want to enroll in the Apple Developer Program as

INDIVIDUAL/SOLE PROPRIETOR instead on https://developer.apple.com/enroll/

However, please note that this second option is not ideal. You will not be able to invite us to your account (step 9 of this guide) and this method takes more time to get your app.

You are still required to have a website published, a business email address and an Apple ID linked to it, as well as having an Apple device with 2FA security enabled to proceed.

If you choose this type of Apple account, as soon as your account gets activated, you will need to send your Apple logins to your Flipdish sales representative. From there, a member of the App Team will have to access your account and add their number as another 2FA method, in order to publish your app.

The reason we need your logins to your Apple account is because Apple does not allow Developers to be invited to Individual/Sole Proprietor accounts. This also means that if you change your Apple password at some point after we publish your iOS app, we will not be able to push updates to your app unless you give us the updated password for your account.

What if my app gets rejected?

If for some reason, Apple rejects your app, you might need to log in to the App Store Connect: https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/ and provide Apple with proof of business ownership. It is very easy to reply to Apple.

Once you logged in, click on My Apps, then click on the unresolved iOS issue.

You will be able to see Apple's message and reply to it as well as adding any attachments needed e.g. proof of business ownership.

It usually takes another 24 hours for Apple agents to verify your reply and come back to you. If you think it takes too long, we invite you to ring Apple Support directly.

Is this a Flipdish process or policy?

Please understand that this policy is not implemented by Flipdish - This whole process is dictated by Apple. It applies to every business that operates on the App Store and is subject to change anytime. We may contact you if that is the case.

Our goal is to make this process as straightforward as possible for you so you can start getting online orders on your iOS app.

If you have any troubles following a step in this guide, or you haven't received any updates from Apple since you enrolled, we invite you to read the next pages below and follow one of the links to get in touch with Apple.
