Add a Custom Payment Method to Your Flipdish POS

If you would like to add new or custom payment methods to your Point of Sale so that when processing a payment you can use this method and your end of day and back office reports will show this, you can do this in your RMS portal back office. A popular example is when you accept gift cards or vouchers that are not integrated into your system but you still want to be able to report on how much of these are being used for payments.

Requirements:

You will need to have your login details to access your Flipdish Portal at https://portal.flipdish.com

If you do not have access to this portal then please contact Flipdish Support, someone who has Owner level access can add you as a teammate. If no one from your team is able to add you, contact your Account Manager or Support at [email protected].

Instructions:

  1. Login to your Flipdish Portal.

  2. Select 'Sales Channels' from the menu on the left hand side, then go to 'Point of Sale' and then select the right property from the dropdown menu. If you're already in the desired property, just click on the POS Storefront you want to add the tip configuration to.

  3. Click Payment Methods > Add - now you can configure your payment method exactly how you would like it to function.

  4. Restart your Point of Sale app and you can now use this payment method when processing a transaction, simply select Other on the payment page.

This will help you configure your Point of Sale in a way that best suits your business needs and makes the lives of you and your staff as easy as possible while also offering the a seamless experience for your customers.
