***UPDATE FEBRUARY 2018*** New rules disallowing card surcharges have come into play in the EU.

Pre-2018 many Flipdish customers had a 50 cent / pence card fee configured to be charged to end-users of their online ordering system. New EU rules (and associated laws passed by member states) prohibit charging fees to users paying with any particular payment method.

To enable you to stay compliant with these laws Flipdish has some options.

Option 1 - available for all stores

The 50 cent / pence card fee to the end-user will be removed and instead the store will be charged a 41 cent / pence fee per card transaction.

Option 2 - for stores that accept cash orders

The 50 cent / pence card fee to the end-user will be removed and replaced with an processing fee of 50 cent / pence on all orders (cash & card) - charged directly to the customer.

Option 3 - for stores that do not accept cash orders

The 50 cent / pence card fee to the end-user will be removed and replaced with an processing fee of 50 cent / pence on all orders - charged directly to the customer.
